Description

Earth & Me is Queens' first zero-waste store, now with two locations across Astoria. We offer handmade, small-batch items to help you reduce waste in your home. We also sell vintage clothing and offer a refillery of household essentials like dish soap, shampoo and laundry detergent. Our store is 100% free of single-use plastics in the items we sell, and as a store we are also zero-waste! We reuse, recycle, and repurpose everything that comes into our shop and have circular partnerships with our vendors. We also offer eco-friendly delivery to all of Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.

Owner's Story
I started Earth & Me because sustainability, quality, and affordability shouldn't be mutually exclusive. It's hard work to find essentials like toilet paper, toothbrushes, and self-care products that don't involve a bunch of extra packaging, single-use plastic, or unpronounceable ingredients in them. The ones that tick these boxes can be expensive and are often sold as luxury items with high markups. In June 2020 after being laid off from my full-time desk job mid-Covid, I saw an opportunity to buy from small-batch makers in bulk quantities, reducing prices, packaging, and overhead. By curating the very best sustainable products made with integrity and love, I hope to educate people on a zero-waste lifestyle because I believe this is what it takes to make change in environmental norms and policy — sustained grassroots pressure.
